  • Each student is allocated €10,000 in virtual funds

  • €4,000 maximum investment in a campaign

  • €6,000 maximum total investment in campaigns from a single college

  • You must spend all of your available funds before your investments will appear on your chosen campaigns.

Varsity Sparks is a student crowdfunding competition that brings together third-level students from all over the island of Ireland to find the best new entrepreneurial ideas.

  • We have made the idea submission very simple and straightforward. Any student can enter no matter what stage your idea is at. We want to hear your idea!

  • The teams with the top ideas are invited to create a crowdfunding campaign.

  • During the crowdfunding stage of the competition, any student can invest virtual funds in their favourite ideas.

  • €10,000 in cash prizes to be won by the ideas with the most investment.

What makes Varsity Sparks different?

Varsity Sparks was created by students from different colleges around Ireland to promote student entrepreneurship and enable student founders to get the boost they need to get started. It is very easy to enter and we encourage students from all faculties to do so. The unique aspect of this competition is that students choose the winners.
